| Abstract: |
This paper discusses the efforts in Arizona to increase water yield and involves assessing the effects of chaparral conversion on water yield, water quality, erosion, and wildlife and livestock. Discusses the research being conducted on the Tonto and Prescott National Forests and from its implementation in the 1950s until the early 1970s. Some constraints on water yield potential increases for large-scale conversions are discussed. |
